Such as large amount of adsorbent is absolutely essential for fast and effective removal from the air of all regular chemicals and odors such as: cuisine odors, pet odors, chemicals in cigarette smoke, smoke from wood burning stove. household chemicals, and many more.
  Important Notice!
  True HEPA filter and Activated Carbon canister in Austin Air HealthMate HM400 are combined together in One Filter Assembly. As such, the whole filter assembly needs to be replaced when either True HEPA or Activated carbon filter reaches the end of its lifetime.

  The Pre-filter is the first stage of the air filtration system of Austin Air HealthMate HM400 air purifier. The pre-filter traps most of larger visible dust and dirt particles. Its main purpose is to protect fine True HEPA filter from faster contamination and extend its lifetime. The pre-filter can be vacuumed from the outside right through the grill, and easily replaced when gets very dirty or ruined.
