Austin Air Pet Machine HEPA filter and carbon filter are combined together in one filter assembly.
True HEPA filter traps 99.97% of all microscopic airborne contaminants down to 0.3 micron in size.
Carbon canister filter contains 15 lbs. of specialty adsorbent for effective removal of pet odors.
Austin Air Pet Machine replacement filter assembly comes with a pre-filter of matching color:

• Black for units in Black and Blue colors
• White for units in White and Sandstone colors

Filter's Lifetime: 2 to 5 years (under normal residential conditions).
The whole filter assembly has to be replaced when either True HEPA or activated carbon canister filter reaches the end of its lifetime.
