Austin Air HealthMate Standard replacement True HEPA and Carbon canister filters are combined together in one filter assembly and replaced simultaneously.
True HEPA filter traps 99.97% of all microscopic airborne contaminants down to 0.3 micron in size.
Activated carbon canister contains 15 lbs. of regular granulated carbon adsorbent from coconut shell.
Activated carbon filter ensures a high rate of removal of all regular chemicals and noxious odors.
Austin Air HealthMate filter assembly comes with a pre-filter of matching color:

• Black for units in Black and Blue colors
• White for units in White and Sandstone colors

The whole filter assembly has to be replaced when either True HEPA or activated carbon filter reaches the end of its lifetime.
Filter's Lifetime: 2 to 5 years (under normal residential conditions).
The filter assembly is covered by the 5-Year Pro-rated manufacturer's warranty (applicable only for units used under normal residential conditions).
