  Types of Adsorbent Used.
  Coconut Shell (standard - most widely used adsorbent)
  The AirPura C600 filter canister is filled with a coconut shell activated carbon as a Standard adsorbent. The coconut shell carbon is the most widely used type of adsorbent in high performance air purifiers for removal of nearly 4000 chemical substances in residential and office indoor environment.
  Anthracite (optional)
  The optional Anthracite based activated granular carbon is available in AirPura C600 at no extra cost. The Anthracite adsorbent is an alternative to a Coconut shell carbon offered to individuals with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)
• HEPA-Barrier Post Filter.
  The AirPura C600 oversize carbon canister doesn't leave enough room for placement of a standard True HEPA filter. Therefore, to provide an adequate filtration of the air from most common allergens and dust, the AirPura C600 employs the HEPA type filter barrier.
• Pre Filter.
  Standard Polyester based Pre-filter (the first stage of the AirPura C600 air filtration system) traps most of large visible dust and dirt particles.

• Non Off-Gassing Felt Gaskets
  AirPura C600 is equipped with non off-gassing top and bottom Felt Gaskets.
